ARTS is always looking for people who are interested in working with public transit.
Employment
If you enjoy helping others and want a job that’s both challenging and rewarding, think about joining our transit team. We’re growing and adding more services.
We’re also looking for the right people to assist our drivers with things like:
- Helping passengers
- Maintaining vehicles and facilities
- Organizing schedules
- Managing administrative tasks

Volunteer Opportunities
If you love to drive and help others, consider becoming a volunteer with ARTS.
- We appreciate the hard work of kind-hearted individuals who offer their time to help transport Mainers to their essential needs.
- Volunteers are a crucial part of our staff of drivers and help ensure that we are able to serve as many riders as possible.
- Volunteer drivers are reimbursed for mileage at a rate of .50 cents a mile.
- If you love to drive, help others, or wish to contribute at a governance level, consider becoming a volunteer with ARTS.
