Cancer Care

Applicants can request transportation to appointments if needed, and ARTS will provide transportation to applicants as well as a support person.

  • There are no income guidelines. Eligibility is strictly based on applicants going to cancer related medical appointments. Applicants must not have another resource to pay for medical transportation such as MaineCare or be eligible for transportation benefits through other programs.
  • Transportation reimbursement costs can also be submitted to those driving themselves or having a family member or friend transport them to appointments. The mileage reimbursement rate is $.50 per mile driven. Additional transportation costs such as cab fare and train/bus tickets can also be submitted for reimbursement.
