We provide transportation to go to medical appointments either by customers paying a bus fare, through the MaineCare Non-Emergency Broker – Modivcare or through the Department of Health and Human Services contract for low-income. We provide transportation to go shopping and/or to do errands into or in the 4 hub communities in Aroostook County. Each town in Aroostook County including Patten and Danforth are served at least once a week so you can do your shopping and/or other errands like paying bills, visiting a family/friend, or go out to lunch. Please review the bus schedules that are posted on the website under Bus Schedules for your area.
We provide transportation for Aroostook Area on Aging for individuals who are registered under Retired Senior Transportation Programs (RSVP) who volunteers at a RSVP registered site as well as providing transportation for elderly to be able to attend meal sites. Both of these services are at no charge to the individuals. If you would like to become a RSVP volunteer, please contact Aroostook Area on Aging at 764-3396 to see how you would apply.
Requirements: You must qualify through RSVP to volunteer or be over 60 to go to a meal site.
We provide transportation for Maine Department of Health and Human Services for low-income qualified individuals to go shopping, to do errands, and/or to go to medical appointments (that are not covered under another contract). Please call our agency at 764-4246 or 1-800-442-3320 to see how you would qualify under the current low-income guidelines.
Requirements: You must qualify under the current low-income guidelines.
We provide transportation for Maine Department of Health and Human Service for those who are referred by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services for family reunification meetings and services.
Requirements: You must be referred by Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
Opportunity Training Center
We provide transportation for Central Aroostook Association for their Opportunity Training Center for children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities to attend the special purpose private school which allows them to develop their fine and gross motor skills, self-help skills, and academic development prior to transferring to a work service.
Requirements: You must be referred by Central Aroostook Association.
Work Services
We provide transportation for Central Aroostook Association for their work services through their County Box and Pellets for individuals with developmental disabilities which allow these individuals an opportunity to improve their personal skills, learn a trade as well as earn a wage while providing a service to our community.
Requirements: You must be referred by Central Aroostook Association.
Adult Services
We provide transportation for individuals to a sheltered workshop for a variety of day programs which promote self-maintenance, physical activities, self-motivation, social and behavioral skills as well as safe and independent problem solving skills. This service is either funded through MaineCare or Central Aroostook Association.
Requirements: You must be referred by Central Aroostook Association and/or the Non-Emergency Transportation Broker; LogistiCare.
